Historical evolution

  • Beijing General Institute of mining and metallurgy Founded on April 8, 1956, the Institute was originally named mineral processing research and Design Institute of the Ministry of heavy industry.
  • June 1956 It was renamed as research and Design Institute of nonferrous metal processing.
  • 1957 It was renamed as Beijing Metallurgical Industry Mineral Processing Research Institute.
  • April 1958 It was renamed Mineral Processing Research Institute of Ministry of metallurgical industry, and the former ferrous metal beneficiation Laboratory of Beijing Iron and Steel Research Institute was incorporated into the system.
  • November 24, 1960 It was merged with Geological Research Institute of Ministry of metallurgical industry and renamed as Beijing Mining Research Institute.
  • March 22, 1963 It was renamed as Beijing Research Institute of mining and metallurgy.
  • October and November 1963 Beijing Nonferrous Metals Research Institute is engaged in heavy non-ferrous metal research business and personnel. Metallurgical test and machine maintenance personnel and corresponding equipment and instruments of Beijing Nonferrous Metallurgy Design Institute are transferred to our institute.
  • June 11, 1964 Beijing aluminum experimental plant under the Ministry of metallurgical industry was assigned to our institute and transformed into an experimental plant.
  • 1966 The Ministry of metallurgical industry of the people's Republic of China transferred the second mineral processing laboratory and some analysis and testing professionals to MAANSHAN Mining Research Institute.
  • November 1970 They were decentralized to Hebei Province and Gansu Province respectively, under the dual leadership of the Ministry and the province, with the province as the main management. During this period, some personnel were transferred to Baiyin City of Gansu Province to establish Baiyin Mining and Metallurgy Research Institute (now Northwest Mining and Metallurgy Research Institute).
  • January 1978 In April 1979, the Ministry of metallurgical industry was renamed as the Ministry of metallurgical industry.
  • April 1983 In November of the same year, it was renamed as Beijing General Institute of mining and metallurgy.
  • June 1997 Acquisition of Dandong metallurgical machinery plant.
  • June September 1997 Merger of Beijing tungsten and molybdenum material factory.
  • March 1998 It belongs to the state nonferrous metal industry bureau.
  • July 1, 1999 According to the decision of the State Council, our institute has been transformed into a large-scale science and technology enterprise directly under the central government, and the Northwest Nonferrous Metals Research Institute is also included in our institute. The party and government of the academy are respectively subordinate to the working committee of the central state organs and the working committee of large enterprises.
  • December 1, 1999 It is subordinate to the central enterprise working committee.
  • June 2000 The Northwest Institute of nonferrous metals is under the management of the Institute.
  • January 2002 With the approval of the State Economic and Trade Commission, Tieling mineral processing pharmaceutical plant was transferred to our institute free of charge.
  • 2003 It is subordinate to the state owned assets supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.
  • July 31, 2010 The state owned assets supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council has approved that the state-owned property rights of Xuzhou Institute of international trade and comprehensive utilization of rare and precious metals be transferred to our institute free of charge.
  • May 6, 2011 Our institute reorganized Zhuzhou Torch Industrial Furnace Co., Ltd.
  • February 14, 2017 Our hospital reorganized an Qisheng company.
  • December 29, 2017 The company system was reformed and a new business license issued by Beijing Administration for Industry and commerce was obtained on December 29, 2017, which officially changed its name to "Beijing mining and Metallurgy Technology Group Co., Ltd.".
  • April 21, 2020 With the approval of the state owned assets supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, it was officially renamed as "mining and Metallurgy Technology Group Co., Ltd.".
